Art Therapists are master's level practitioners who are trained to use psychotherapy in conjunction with art making.  In my practice, I encourage clients to work however they feel comfortable. I have worked with clients in the past who prefer processing what is going on only verbally, while others may choose to incorporate art, journaling, or other expressive modalities into their therapeutic experience.

Psychotherapy can help you to explore how anxious thoughts are effecting your current behaviors and relationships. It might help you to process grief, trauma, and feel supported through times of transition.  Talking with a therapist can help you to bring self-awareness to relationship conflicts, move past feelings of being stuck, or build stronger relationships with yourself and others.  Psychotherapy can help you to cope with stress at work, bullying at school, and more.

We each have everything that we need within ourselves to live a happy and fulfilling life. Together we can discover your strengths and create a toolbox of practices to take with you throughout your journey. I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and go at the pace you feel comfortable.
