I take careful consideration of the issues that you are facing and work with you to find an approach that is right for your unique situation. Some clients find it beneficial to integrate gentle, restorative yoga into our sessions. I am trained as a yoga instructor (RYT-200), and personally have experienced the benefits of a regular yoga and mediation practice. Yoga, guided mediation, and breathing may help to aide relaxation, decrease anxiety and depression, and promote better sleep. For older adults or people with limited mobility, I offer chair yoga, which can also have calming effects, help reduce body aches and pains, and promote health joints, balance, and flexibility.
Yoga may be integrated into verbal or art therapy sessions, depending on my client's interests and needs.
